Lap Band Surgery Vs. Roca Labs® Formula
Lap band surgery is risky, expensive and comes with endless restrictions
Lap band surgery is a popular surgical approach to weight loss, where a device is wrapped around the stomach to create a smaller pouch for food intake. It can be performed laparoscopically (through a small incision), and has certain advantages over other types of weight loss surgeries, such as reversibility and less threatening complications.
However, a lap band operation is still a major surgical procedure. It is drastic and painful, and there are numerous potential complications. Gastritis, ulceration, nausea and vomiting, abdominal and chest pain, and internal bleeding are among the risks. Migration of the band or slippage of the stomach can occur, necessitating urgent re-operation. A recent study found that 33.1% of patients suffered serious complications, with 21.7% requiring major re-operation. The overall failure rate over five years was found to be nearly 40%.
Even without complications, post-surgical care is difficult. Lap band operations are followed by numerous diet restrictions, and if the wrong types of foods (too smooth or wet) are eaten, they can easily pass through the constriction, largely negating the effect of the lap band. And although the procedure can be reversed, the patient is likely to regain weight afterwards.
Roca Labs® Natural Formula avoids most of the lap band surgery’s pitfalls. Its effect is very powerful, yet it is non-invasive and painless. When you take it, it expands to fill your stomach, leaving only a limited stomach space available for 10-16 hours. You don’t have to worry about special diets or restrictions, because you physically cannot eat more than half of what you used to. There are only a few potential side effects – bloated stomach, gas, diarrhea, dehydration – but these can generally be avoided by introducing the Formula to your diet gradually and drinking plenty of water.
